When you're trying to find your way around a large ebook or document, you frequently find yourself asking these 2 questions: 1) Where the heck am I? (after scrolling around a bit) 2) How can I get to where I want to go easily and quickly?  I believe I've designed a system that fixes those problems, and even works well on small mobile devices (tested on 8" android tab device so far). A friend shared their notes, excerpts from Ajahn Dtun Biography highlighting what activity Ajahn was doing at the time of each stage of awakening.  Ajahn Dtun’s four stages of awakening Glossed from his autobiography (tapes exist at Boonyawad of him explaining to the bhikkhus his stage in more details; or so I recall being told, while there ca. 2017).   From Oxford American Dictionary putz ˈpəts; ˈpo͝ots 1. informal n. 1) a stupid or worthless person puthujjana jana 1: masc. man; person; fellow [√jan + a] ✔ masc. common man; ordinary man; normal person; man in the street [puthu + jana] ✔ in the context of 4 noble truths and Dhamma translating puthujjana as 'putz' in ordinary context wouldn't work, but in the frequent phrase as-sutava puthujjana, that uneducated putz (with respect to 4nt and Dhamma) would fit wouldn't it? contrasted against sutava ariay-savako educated noble one's disciple.

  Wisdom only licensed some of Bodhi's translations for public on suttacentral,  about 50 of 152 MN suttas for example, and no footnotes. Just completed this past weekend: My personal private edition of s.4nt.org has Bodhi's MN, AN, SN, Snp (sutta nipāta), all line by line aligned with pali,  and footnotes. verbatim validated against the wisdom epubs I purchased for a few hundred dollars many years ago.

  sample page https://s.4nt.org/mn/mn125/index.html footnotes section now lives in bottom left corner, sharing left sidebar with table of contents. see settings > help page  for details. the whole left sidebar can be adjusted in size for width,  and how much footnotes takes up. settings > font size for footnotes lets you individually customize that. This new UX (user interface) improvement allows DPD (digital pali dictionary) to coexist peacefully as it uses the right sidebar.

DN 2 is a good sample: https://s.4nt.org/dn/dn2/index.html This took AI about 6 hours to mostly autonomously process DN (34 long suttas). Compared to MN, this one aligned poorly (line by line...). partly because PTS fills out pali source ...pe... elisions with long paragraphs of repetitions. But the one guarantee of s.4nt.org is the aligned translations, even if they're off on line by line, they are as an entire sutta a verbatim diff of the original source (minus some white space and punctuation mark normalization).  PTS DN Can be aligned very well with some human guidance and better section marks identifying chunk points for large suttas This would require volunteer help from someone technically savvy in ai, programming, and competent in pali. competent in those areas enough to not take any meaningful amount of my time. contact me if interested.
