case studies on s'-āmisā samādhi (worldly undistractible mind in samādhi operating in non spiritual applications)

Samādhi, Jhāna, pīti, sukha works on worldly applications, not just spiritual ones.
You don't have a special nervous system set aside that only kicks in to give you pleasure if you meditate on spiritual topics.
It's the same pleasurable brain chemicals hitting the same nervous system whether you use jhāna to contemplate rise and fall of aggregates, delight in the efficacy of Dhamma,
or the worldly enjoyment of music, sports, dance.
The nature of the topic determines whether the samādhi is sammā (right, in line with 4 noble truths) or not;
but the mental and physical pleasure operate on the same nervous system.

1) Alysa Liu 2025 world champion figure skating

In this article, I curate the best in depth sources
2025 after 3 year retirement, 19 yr. old Alysa Liu wins gold at world championship
This is what her coach said about her samādhi in the washington post article:
“She’s a beast on the StairMaster,” [Alysa's coach] DiGuglielmo said.
...
Then she went to her first competition in the fall in Budapest and won it.
Then she won another in Zagreb and almost won the U.S. nationals.
The worlds though were different.
Nobody had expectations for winning in Boston.

“Top 10 I would have been happy,” DiGuglielmo said standing late Friday night beneath the arena stands.
“A medal would have been good but first?"

His mouth sat agape at the thought.

Long ago he learned Liu wasn’t like other skaters.
She had a different energy about her.
She never rattled.
She rarely had meltdowns.
She had an innate ability to radiate happiness (s'-āmisā pīti + sukha) while maintaining an icy focus (samādhi, ekagga citta).
He imagines she would be perfect as a surgeon performing a critical surgery.

“Alysa is not the same as the rest of us, we have doubt, she doesn’t have doubt,” he said.
“It just doesn’t occur to her.” (citta-samādhi-...iddhi-pāda)

And watch Alysa's composure, relaxation (passaddhi pacification awakening factor), in this talk show interview at age 14,
and she also describes the samādhi of her mental process while performing on ice, starting about 45 seconds in:

2) Suni Lee - Olympic gold medalist women's gymnastics

I figured out what citta samādhi in 4ip (iddhi-pāda) actually means

Advice to younger meditators on jhāna, sex, porn, masturbation

Someone asked: Is porn considered harmful sexual.activity? I don't have a sex life because I don't have a partner and I don't wish to engage in casual sex so I use porn to quench the biological urge to orgasm. I can't see that's it's harmful because nobody is being forced into it. The actors are all paid well and claim to enjoy it etc. The only harm I can see is that it's so accessible these days on smart devices and so children may access it but I believe that this is the parents responsibility to not allow unsupervised use of devices etc. Views? Frankk response: In another thread, you asked about pleasant sensations and jhāna.  I'm guessing you're young, so here's some important advice you won't get from suttas   if you're serious about jhāna.  (since monastics are already celibate by rule)   If you want to attain stable and higher jhānas,   celibacy and noble silence to the best of your ability are the feedstock and prerequiste to tha...

SN 48.40 Ven. Thanissaro comments on Ven. Sunyo's analysis

This was Ven. Sunyo's analysis of SN 48.40: https://notesonthedhamma.blogspot.com/2024/05/exciting-news-honest-ebt-scholars-like.html And here is Ven. Thanissaro's response to that analysis: I think there’s a better way to tackle the issue of SN 48:40 than by appealing to the oldest layers of commentarial literature. That way is to point out that SN 48:40, as we have it, doesn’t pass the test in DN 16 for determining what’s genuine Dhamma and what’s not. There the standard is, not the authority of the person who’s claiming to report the Buddha’s teachings, but whether the teachings he’s reporting are actually in accordance with the principles of the Dhamma that you know. So the simple fact that those who have passed the Buddha’s teachings down to us say that a particular passage is what the Buddha actually taught is not sufficient grounds for accepting it. In the case of the jhānas—the point at issue here— we have to take as our guide the standard formula for the jhānas, a...
