AN 7.67 Who's your gatekeeper (mindfulness/sati) that keeps evil out of the fortress? (illustrated)

Which type of gatekeeper are you?

Correct Answer: better not be any of the first 3.

1) Mindfulness on vacation most of the time:

Distracted, confused, not even paying attention to who's trying to enter the gates of the fortress.

2) Mindfulness as a present moment choiceless awareness zombie.

You calmly watch with nonjudgmental awareness as...

As the Defilements of Greed, Hatred, and Delusion waltz right through

the gates of your fortress that you're suppose to be protecting.

3) Mindfulness completely inverted, you treat the 3 defilements as honored guests.

You honor them, welcome them, praise them, lavish them with love and attention, catering to their every whim.

4) Right sati/mindfulness, on 24/7 no off switch

You take names, and you give no quarter.
Your sword of samādhi is a +4 Jhāna blade of death dealing.
As the wise gatekeeper, a general of the army, even the most powerful and cunning demons have no chance of deceiving you.

I don't have a sex life because I don't have a partner and I don't wish to engage in casual sex so I use porn to quench the biological urge to orgasm. I can't see that's it's harmful because nobody is being forced into it. The actors are all paid well and claim to enjoy it etc. The only harm I can see is that it's so accessible these days on smart devices and so children may access it but I believe that this is the parents responsibility to not allow unsupervised use of devices etc. Views? Frankk response: In another thread, you asked about pleasant sensations and jhāna.  I'm guessing you're young, so here's some important advice you won't get from suttas   if you're serious about jhāna.  (since monastics are already celibate by rule)   If you want to attain stable and higher jhānas,   celibacy and noble silence to the best of your ability are the feedstock and prerequiste to tha
